Nail know how

For healthy nails keep the facts on file. Nails dont breathe. So wearing polish wont suffocate them. On the contrary, because nails are made up of thousands of layers of dead skin, making them susceptible to drying out, a layer of lacquer actually helps protect them from daily wear and tear. Nails have 2 cuticles. You know never to cut the tissue at the base of nails, but underneath is a layer of nonliving tissue which you can remove. Push outer cuticles back, then rub off the sheer, thin layer below. Keep both cuticles healthy with an alpha hydroxy cream. Some nails lag behind. The ones on the hand you use most for writing, dialing get longer faster possibly due to more circulation. Before wielding an emery boardm hold hands up, palms facing you, fingers bent to gauge evenness.
